History of Ernest Jones

From a single shop on Oxford Street, London, in 1949, Ernest Jones has become a respected national chain of jewellers specialising in watches and diamonds, with over 180 stores. Its own team of qualified watchmakers can service and repair items in its workshops, many of which are housed in store.

Delivery Information

The estimated delivery date of an item is shown in the online shopping basket before orders are placed. Standard delivery costs £3 but is free for orders over £100. An order placed from Monday to Thursday should arrive in two to four days, while Friday and weekend orders will take three to five days to arrive. Deliveries are made between 9am and 5pm. Order before 2pm on Monday 22nd December 2014 for standard delivery before Christmas.

Next day delivery costs £5 and is available for orders placed before 2pm to any address in the UK, and includes delivery on Saturdays. Orders placed after 2pm on Friday or over the weekend will arrive the following Tuesday. Next day deliveries need to be signed for and will arrive between 8am and 6pm. For next day delivery at Christmas, orders must be placed by 3pm on Tuesday 23rd December 2014.

Click and collect allows online purchases to be picked up from a chosen store in the UK free of charge, usually within four to eight working days. The purchaser must collect the order with the card used for payment, plus the order number, within 35 days. For Christmas delivery, orders must be placed before 9pm on Monday 22nd December 2014.

For personalised orders, it can take between 14 and 17 working days for dispatch. Engravings may take between three to eight days to dispatch, so customers are advised to add an extra 8 days to the above delivery times when estimating delivery day.

Returns Policy

Ernestjones.co.uk operates a cooling off period for all purchases (excluding personalised and engraved items), whereby customers have 30 days to return the item after the day of delivery. This cooling off period is extended during the Christmas season.

Returned items should be in their original condition with the original packaging. Ernestjones.co.uk only accepts returns on pierced jewellery that is still in its original packaging for hygiene reasons. Personalised or engraved items can only be returned if the item is faulty.

Customers can return items to any UK Ernest Jones store, in their original packaging along with the dispatch note, for an immediate exchange or refund. For a refund, bring along the card used for payment. If the item was received as a gift, the item will be exchanged for a gift card of the same value.

To return by post, customers should telephone customer services on 0345 602 1112 or complete the online form. Ernest Jones will send pre-paid labels to the customer to return the items, along with the dispatch note, free of charge.
