History of Party Delights

Party Delights is an online emporium of party clothes and accessories which celebrates its 15th birthday in 2016.

The company was founded by Alison Graham in 2001 and was born out of her own frustration at not being able to source accessories for a Spiderman themed party. She set out to create a one-stop shop where a person could locate everything they need for a party, from invitations and catering supplies to accessories and party bags. The company has since expanded to include a full range of fancy dress clothing.

From the humble beginnings, Party Delights Ltd now operates from a large warehouse in Manchester where they employ over 100 people.

The company's ethos is that fun should be easy to find and that locating the supplies for a party should be as much fun as the party itself. To ensure customers get as much from their shopping experience as possible, Party Delights often release voucher codes which could ensure you have the party of your dreams without the budget becoming a nightmare!

In their time Party Delights have won numerous awards, including the Gold Trusted Merchant Award from Feefo in 2013 and the PayPal Etail Award 2012, and they reached the top 100 in the Sunday Times Tech Track Awards 2011.

As Party Delights operate online, shoppers have the benefit of being able to shop at their own convenience seven days a week.

Delivery Information

Party Delights offer a range of delivery options which customers can select at the point of making their order. In most cases, orders placed by 4.00pm will be dispatched on the same day (although in the case of personalised items, the cut-off point is 2pm). Items ordered after this point, during the weekend or on a bank holiday are sent on the next working day.

Delivery charges start from £1.50 and from there, there is a range of delivery options including express delivery (from £5.95) and premium delivery (from £7.95). There is also the option of free collection from the company's warehouse in Manchester, although this collection point is only open between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Returns Policy

With the exception of confectionery, personalised products, pre-filled party bags, hosiery and wigs, all items may be returned within 15 days for a full refund as long as they are in a resalable condition. Damaged items, including those above, may be returned. The terms and conditions section of Party Delights' website contains the full details of how to return an item and how to contact the company should this be necessary.

Security & Reviews

Party Delights have been recognised for the steps they take to maintain their customers' online security and have been awarded an Extended Validation Certificate. This appears to customers in the form of a padlock in the left hand corner of the address bar on their web browser. They follow the data protection regulations and have a full policy on this and also have an extensive cookie policy, which can be seen in their terms and conditions section.

Party Delights have won numerous customer service awards and have a section of reviews on their own site dedicated to customer reviews. In addition, sites such as Trustpilot carry more impartial reviews. It should be noted that although there are some reviews from dissatisfied customers, these only represent a very small proportion of actual customers and many who were delighted with their service might not have felt they wished to leave a review.
