History of Schuh

1981 saw the opening of the very first Schuh shop here in the UK up in Edinburgh. Their philosophy was simple: "to provide individual high fashion footwear, sold in a unique and exciting retail environment."

So did they do that?

Oh yes, as more than 30 years later they now have over 100 stores in the UK and Ireland and are one of the most recognised footwear retailers in the country.

Opening times will vary from store to store. Shopping centres and retail parks will have later opening hours but most of the high street stores are open as follows:

Delivery Information

Schuh offer a great range of delivery options including:

Next day delivery: this is available on selected items for delivery on the next working day for orders that are placed before 10pm, Monday - Friday. Obviously this is dependent on stock availability.

Sunday delivery: this is available on selected items that are ordered before 5pm on a Saturday but is dependent on stock availability. In some remote areas the couriers cannot guarantee Sunday delivery.

Free store pick up: delivery is free to any of the Schuh stores where you can pop in and collect your order at a time that suits you. For a limited time, Schuh are offering all of their home delivery options for just £1

Returns Policy

Schuh's return policy, which includes sale items, is to offer a refund or exchange on all items that are unused and returned with a receipt within 365 days. If an item is faulty they are happy to offer a refund or exchange where available. Due to hygiene reasons socks that have been removed from their original packing cannot be returned.

Customers who are registered ‚ǨÀúMy Account' holders can return items free of charge at any of the Collect+ shops in the UK, of which there are more than 5,000. The cost for non-registered customers is £2.50. When your order has been dispatched, Schuh will send you an email with a Collect+ returns label attached that you can print off. There will be instructions on how to use the service.

Returns are free via one of the Schuh stores. But you will need to take the following with you:

If you'd like to return something by post, you need to complete the returns form which will be enclosed with your order. Ensure the shoes are packed in their original packaging with the returns form completed and ensure the parcel is wrapped securely on the outside.

Customers' payments are protected and secure when ordering online from Schuh. The website uses the most up-to-date digital SSL encryption software which protects customers details ensuring they are safe. The Schuh website is part of MasterCard's SecureCode protection scheme and accredited by Google Certified Shops and Trusted Shops.

None of the personal data Schuh have about customers is passed on to third parties, except to fulfil the delivery of goods to you or to process a debit or credit card payment.
