History of Disney Store

Most people in the world know Disney's story. It started in the early part of the twentieth century with Walt and a cartoon mouse. Almost a century later, it is one of the biggest media franchises the world is ever likely to see. Recently adding two giants of multimedia, the Marvel comics universe and the biggest ever sci-fi franchise, Star Wars.

All of the characters from these and many hundreds of other films, books, cartoons and television programs can be found in the Disney store, in their shops and online. From Mickey mouse to Captain America, Pluto to Darth Vader, the Disney store is a hallowed hall of fantastic toys for kids of all ages.

Opening Times

Opening times vary for many stores, but particularity for those that are part of shopping complexes or malls, so check your local listings or the store finder on the website. However, typical city store opening times are as follows:

Monday - Friday - 9:00 - 20:00
Saturday - 9:00 - 18:00
Sunday - 11:00 - 17:00

Delivery Information

The delivery service the Disney store uses delivers between 7.30am and 9pm.
All parcels must be signed for.
Parcels can be tracked from the moment you receive an email alerting you that your order has been dispatched with a unique order number.

Standard delivery: £4.95
This delivery option usually takes up to five working days, but this may be extended for personalised products and for deliveries to more remote locations.

Express delivery: £5.95 (Available from January 2015)
Arrives the next working day from order confirmation placed before 4pm Monday - Thursday. Any orders placed on a Friday before 4pm will arrive the following Monday. This option is not available for the delivery of personalised items nor to some select remote postcodes.

Returns Policy

All deliveries will come with a pre-addressed label attached for any returns. Disney recommend that you obtain proof of postage when you send your return for your protection. You will need to complete the Return Form (which you can download here:http://www.disneystore.co.uk/guest-services/returns/mn/1307505/) and send it along with your package to ensure your return is confirmed by the company.
There is a 14 period of return on all orders.
The only products that cannot be returned are personalised items, Unsealed audio and video recordings, computer software, Blu-ray, DVDs or CD-Roms and selected collectable items (further details of these on the Disney store website). An exception is made for these products if they are faulty or they are not what you ordered.

Security & Reviews

Disney have some of the best internet security available, their reputation depends on it.
Their online store has been approved by both Visa and MasterCard and there is the option to use PayPal. Furthermore all financial transactions are dealt with via third party financial organisations, meaning Disney never has direct access to your bank or card details.

There is a decided split between customers using the Disney Store's online services. Reviews of there products are almost always favourable, but the feedback regarding their customer service is polarised. Those commenting on TrustPilot.com deliver either one star or five star reviews with the overall average laying somewhere in the middle. Such an enormous organisation is bound to have some issues with customer service as, sadly, many issues will merely fall through the cracks. However despite any reported customer service issues the product reviews remain mostly high and the brand will remain golden for years to come.
